Safe on the road

Mit den Gedanken noch bei der Arbeit oder schon zuhause bei den Kindern – ein unaufmerksamer Moment reicht und es ist passiert: beim Einparken oder Rangieren ein anderes Auto touchiert.

This is the motto of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport's "Slow down" initiative. Whether it's talking on a cell phone, reading the news or checking the weather while driving: it's forbidden, it's life-threatening and yet it's commonplace.

When the police visit schools and nurseries, the officers are met with shining eyes and enthusiastic children. But the kids also bring a smile to the police officers' faces, because the work with the puppet stage also delights the officers: preventing accidents instead of recording them.
